The India-Europe Foundation for New Dialogues (FIND) is pleased to invite you to submit your proposal for the Grant Programme 2019.
Scholarships will be granted exclusively for intellectual projects.
Proposals are accepted only in the English language.
Grants of up to 6,000 euros each are offered for Indian and European projects related to the work and heritage of Alain Daniélou. Some Grants are earmarked to support projects by Asian applicants and some for Western applicants.
Proposals for scholarships should be submitted in written form: a three-to-four-page description of the project, a letter of motivation and a CV (with photo), all in PDF format.
The submitted proposals will be evaluated by FIND Intellectual Dialogue in collaboration with FIND’s Academic Committee according to the quality and relevance to the Foundation’s aims.
Projects within the main areas of FIND’s intellectual domain will be given priority: tradition and discontinuity in India, animism, polytheism and other ancient forms of religious experience and thought, philosophy of the body, comparative musicology, ancient layers of Indian culture, eroticism and religion, reassessment of the feminine and the masculine in their manifold aspects (from the sacred to the social).
The selection process takes place in two stages: firstly, a pre-selection is made with the help of FIND’s Advisory Board, after which chosen applicants will be invited to a Skype interview with FIND’s Director of Research and Intellectual Dialogue, Adrián Navigante, and FIND’s President of the Advisory Board, Anne Prunet. A final decision will be reached after this interview.
Any person over the age of 18 is eligible. Young researchers are especially welcome.
Applicants are kindly requested to include contact information of TWO academic or artistic references familiar with their work and willing to make a scholarship recommendation. Once the applicants advance to the third and final stage of the evaluation and selection process, the said references will be contacted via e-mail.
Applications and supporting materials must be submitted between October 1 and December 1, 2018. From January 22-25, 2019, pre-selected applicants will be invited to an interview concluding the selection process. The final decision will be announced between February 15 and 25, 2019.
All applications must be sent via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Beneficiaries shall sign a letter of acceptance and an official agreement to the terms of the Grant and its conditions. They will also be integrated in FIND’s intellectual activities such as online publications, workshops, seminars, etc.
