On the 26th July 2008, Harsharan Foundation organized an evening in honour of Alain Daniélou at Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo, with a Kathak dance performance curated and performed by Rossella Fanelli, along with the Indian musicians Nihar Mehta (tabla) and Allarakha Kalawant (sarangi).
For the occasion a photography exhibition was set in the halls of the Palazzo. The exhibit “Lights of India” featuring some shots taken between 1935 and 1955 in India by Alain Daniélou and Raymond Burnier.
