Much of Alain Daniélou’s heritage is currently preserved at the Italian ​headquarters of the Foundation seat at Zagarolo – such as the photographic archive and part of the documental one, as well as his own library, writings, water-colours and paintings.
The Foundation handles Alain Daniélou’s lifetime of work, as well as his contributions to various worthy institutions and educational centres.
The Alain Daniélou Foundation’s one legitimate priority is therefore to investigate the status of the Daniélou archives and to ensure the accessibility of the related data. In this sense, many of the institutions mentioned below have started a process of cataloguing and digitalisation that will let scholars access online Daniélou’s funds.
